When the CMA Midwest nominated artist Vicky Emerson said she’d like to produce her own album I was thrilled to help her achieve her artistic vision, and I think the vision of Steady Heart really comes through. It's wonderful to be nominated as engineer of the year for my work on this record, and for Steady Heart to be nominated for Album of the Year is very special for all of us. At Wild Sound we get the chance to work with strong and talented women artists every day. Whether working with seasoned pros like Sheila E or artists producing their first album the goal is the same: to listen, support and empower. - Steve Kaul
Zachary “Zach” Hollander, owner and head audio engineer, grew up in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Zach fell in love with music at a young age, his mother was an aspiring singer, so music was always playing around Zach’s household while growing up. Guitar becoming his key instrument at the age of 12 and writing his first song at age 13, Zach knew the music industry was where he was meant to be. Later going to school at Full Sail University, in Orlando, Florida, Zach majored in Audio Engineering. Once he graduated in 2006, Zach came to Minnesota to work at Pachyderm Recording Studios in Cannon Falls as an intern, eventually leading to getting hired on as a full-time staff engineer. Once Zach had run his course at Pachyderm, him and his brother, Noah, had decided to start their own business and to open their own analog recording studio. Since then, Zach has worked with artists such as Davina and The Vagabonds, Gaelynn Lee, The Honey Dogs, Chris Koza, The Little Fevers and Jeremy Messersmith. thepearlrecordingstudio.com/
